I'm an ex-corporate marketer turned Family-First Business Coach.
I spent years working in marketing agencies, running campaigns for national brands, helping them craft their messaging, land press features & influencer partnerships, and connect with the right audiences through storytelling.
But behind the scenes, I had this dream of building something of my own. Five years ago, I bought the web domain trisneyjanine.com with no idea what kind of business I wanted. I just knew I wanted the freedom, when I became a mom someday, to actually be present for it.
I tried everything (freelancing, blogging, digital products...you name it!), but nothing stuck. And by the time we were ready to grow our family, I was still chained to my 9 to 5 desk.
So, when my son was born, I quit corporate while on maternity leave to finally build the business I thought I would have already established by then.
What I didn’t realize until I lived it is just how little our culture prepares women for the career side of becoming a mom. We prepare our bodies for pregnancy and our homes for baby, yet no one teaches us how to prepare our work life for a reality shaped by rising cost of living, sky-high childcare costs, limited parental leave in the U.S., and the very real motherhood penalty that still impacts women’s earning potential. That gap is exactly why I'm now on a mission to normalize "Pre-Parenthood Career Design" as a standard part of family planning.
And that’s what led me to create The Family-First Business Accelerator, combining everything I learned from my years in marketing and my own trial-and-error journey to empower women to design flexible work that lets them be a mom first.
Now, I help career-driven women who know they want family-first flexibility beyond their current job build a realistic plan to earn income online — because I wholeheartedly believe that women should never be forced to choose between career and family.

The Cultural Context
Today’s rising cost of living, skyrocketing childcare expenses, limited parental leave, and the persistent motherhood penalty have created a reality where women are expected to prepare for motherhood in every way except the one that shapes their lives most: their careers. And for many ambitious future moms, that gap leaves them navigating one of the biggest transitions of their lives with no roadmap.
The Perspective Shift
While most women prepare their bodies for pregnancy and their homes for baby, almost no one is taught how to prepare their work life for the season ahead. And I'm on a mission to change that. I believe career prep should be a core part of preparing for motherhood, not an afterthought handled during postpartum chaos.

This belief led me to define the concept of "pre-parenthood career design" — the practice of intentionally structuring your work life, income, and flexibility before baby so you enter motherhood with options instead of overwhelm. It’s a proactive, strategic approach for women who want both ambition and presence, and who refuse to choose between career and family.

As more women seek flexibility, stability, and a values-aligned career path, pre-parenthood career design fills the void left by outdated narratives like "the girlboss" and "the stay-at-home mom". My work sits at the intersection of this cultural shift, helping women design careers that support their families, their goals, and the life they know is possible.
